Common has signed on to host the reality series Framework, a new show pitting 13 aspiring furniture makers against each other for a $100,000 prize and a furniture manufacturing deal.
Say goodbye to Common everyone. The Chicago MC that brought us “Love of My Life” and “Southside” is gone; he belongs to White America now. We held out hope when he was in Street Kings and American Gangster, we winced when he was in Date Night and we started to see the end when he was in New Years Eve. This new show is finally the end. The Black Bob Villa is now an Actor/Rapper, not the other way around.
I say good for him. He hasn’t put out any good music lately (disclaimer: I didn’t listen to Nobody’s Smiling) and he’s not fucking around with GOOD Music anymore. He might as well throw in the towel and start cashing those Wayne Brady checks. I’m giving him 5 SC points because he’s not pretending to be anything he’s not and he’s still cashing them checks.
