Due to a series of gun and drug related incidents, Waka Flocka Flame will not be performing down under any time soon.
Wait… Phrasing. Let me try that again.
Due to a history of legal issues, Waka Flocka Flame has cancelled his Australian tour after being denied entry to the country.
This is not the first time that a rapper has been kicked out of an entire country, but I still think that it’s hilarious whenever it happens. It’s like they’re saying “yes we have crime in our nation that needs to be dealt with, but Waka once accidentally brought a gun to an airport! This could push us over the edge into anarchy!”
I’m willing to bet whoever was in charge of this decision was unaware that they were snubbing the front runner (I assume) of the 2016 US presidential election. We’ll see how they feel about “Hard In Da Paint” when President Flame cuts off trade relations and closes the embassy. You’ve made a dangerous enemy, my friends.
Also, the fact that it’s Australia is even better. Australia originally served as an English prison colony. It was basically the D-Block of the British Empire. Australia refusing to let in someone with a criminal record is an insane level of hypocritical.
So 10 points to Waka for being kicked out of an entire nation, but more importantly: minus 90 points to Australia for losing touch with their roots. I dunno what happened, but you guys changed.
